Make a promise to yourself

I absolutely love the poem, “Promise Yourself", by Christian Larson. I have this poem framed and hanging on my wall as a reminder for me to always be the best person I can be. With so many distractions, expectations, and comparisons in the world today, it can be challenging for one to remain focused on certain goals and be encouraged. Keep praying

How many of you have heard these phrases---"God knows my heart. God knows my every move. God knows what I am thinking." Most people have probably heard these phrases often and have likely said them many times. Many of us have probably even quoted and referred to parts of Psalm 139 that begins with, "O Lord, you have searched me and known me."
While I believe all of the phrases and Psalm 139 are absolutely true, I find it interesting that I have uttered and used these phrases during troubling and uncomfortable times as a means to avoid true...


The struggle was real

The struggle was really real when I initially refused to accept my call to ministry. Growing up as a P.K., I had a unique insight into the life of a pastor and the day-to-day workings of the Church, and I witnessed firsthand both the good and bad sides of full-time dedication to the ministry.
